At Fincra, we are always looking for ways to make money movement simpler for businesses operating across Africa. Today, we are announcing the launch of Dedicated GHS Virtual Accounts, a new feature that gives businesses collecting Ghana Cedi payments their own Ghanaian bank account numbers.

For many businesses, collecting cedi payments by bank transfer still involves too much manual work. As transaction volumes grow, this process becomes harder to manage and can slow down reconciliation, customer service, and day-to-day operations.

Dedicated GHS Virtual Accounts are designed to remove that friction.

With this feature, businesses can receive payments through Ghanaian bank account numbers that their customers can pay into using standard bank transfers. Each payment is automatically identified and credited to the merchant’s Fincra wallet, making reconciliation faster, cleaner, and easier to manage.

Businesses can also create dedicated virtual accounts for individual customers, transactions, or specific use cases through the Fincra Dashboard or API. This makes it easier to manage larger payment volumes, track collections accurately, and reduce the operational burden on internal teams.

The launch follows our recent acquisition of an Enhanced Payment Service Provider License from the Bank of Ghana, which has strengthened our ability to provide regulated local payment infrastructure for businesses operating in Ghana.

“Businesses should not have to spend valuable time figuring out who has paid them,” said Wole Ayodele, CEO of Fincra. “As payment activity continues to grow in Ghana, companies need collection infrastructure that can keep up. Dedicated GHS Virtual Accounts help businesses automate reconciliation, improve visibility, and manage collections with greater confidence.”

Dedicated GHS Virtual Accounts are built for fintechs, marketplaces, enterprises, and other businesses collecting local payments in Ghana. For us, this launch is another step toward our mission to simplify money movement for African businesses. By combining local payment capabilities, regulated infrastructure, and developer-friendly tools, we are helping businesses operate across markets with less friction and more control.

Dedicated GHS Virtual Accounts are now available to eligible Fincra merchants in Ghana. For more information, visit: https://fincra.com/ghana-va/
