Introduction
As a business trying to scale and succeed, selling online is non-negotiable. So many people do not bother leaving their houses to buy things they need because the internet has made everything easily accessible with just a few clicks.
Not promoting your business on the internet and, more specifically, social media means losing potential customers who prefer shopping online. Now, it’s impossible to talk about e-commerce and social commerce, in particular, without talking about Facebook.
Facebook is the largest social media platform globally, with over 3 billion monthly active users. Due to the platform’s popularity, no matter what you are selling, there are people on Facebook who need it; you just need to do proper marketing.
Facebook provides avenues for businesses to showcase their products. Businesses can take advantage of Facebook Shops and Facebook Marketplace to showcase their products and attract customers.
Now, when you have reeled customers in with your marketing, all that effort goes to waste if they don’t have a way to pay you; this is where payment links come in.
A payment link is a feature businesses can use to collect payments from Facebook and close transactions without telling them to visit a separate website.
Let us briefly talk about payment links.
What is a payment link?
A Payment link is a simple URL businesses use to collect online payments. The URL directs customers to a hosted payment page to make payments; it is that simple.
With one click, your customers have moved from the platform where they discovered your product to the page where they will complete payment for your product.
The quicker the payment process, the more likely a customer will buy what you sell.
Getting customers to complete payment before they change their minds cannot be overstated.
