We have today announced Emmanuel Babalola, also known as Babz, as our new Chief Commercial and Growth Officer.
Babz joins us with lots of experience and success in the African fintech industry, having directly led the efforts of Binance scaling across more than 40 markets in Africa and the Middle East. Under his leadership, the platform grew from serving a small user base to empowering millions of Africans and facilitating billions of dollars in transaction volume, helping unlock new opportunities across the continent.
As co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bundle, he led the social payments app for cash and crypto, which was ranked Nigeria’s Top Startup, to become one of Africa’s fastest-growing companies with over a million users.
His vision for financial inclusion also led to the development of Cashlink, a first of its kind peer-to-peer network redefining how Africans interact with Stablecoins for on-ramps, with network participants earning millions in commission.
In an announcement, Fincra’s CEO Wole Ayodele described Babz as one of the most respected leaders in African fintech.
